DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

 

This one day course will teach you the incredible benefits of Deep Tissue Massage.  Armed with the knowledge, background and application of these techniques you will be able to incorporate them into your treatments as well as advise clients on a safe stretching programme in-between sessions.

There are many similar courses out there covering only some of this information, however this is an exclusive Body and Soul Training course and can only be found on our web site. This course was put together by our highly experienced top tutor, making sure you gain the most important techniques on the market today.

 

Our Deep Tissue Massage Course Includes:

• Advanced Stretching Techniques Including Active, Passive, MET & PNF

• Neuromuscular Technique

• Palpation

• Hands free techniques inc Supported digits use of Forearm and Elbow

• Identification of common areas of pain including Back, neck shoulders and calf and remedial techniques to alleviate symptoms

• Identification of common affected muscles  inc: The Deep Muscles of the legs including Hamstrings, Illio-Tibial Band & Quads, Muscles of the lower leg such as the Gastrocnemius, Muscles of the Back ( Superficial and deep). Muscles of the Arms and Shoulders As well as receiving instruction on:

 

- Health & safety

- Professional ethics

- Hygiene and sterilisation

- Skin diseases and disorders

- Contra-actions and Contra-indications-

- Preparation of client including consultation & record keeping

- Materials, equipment & products

- Marketing

- Client after-care

 

This course is suitable for Massage Therapists who have already completed and achieved a recognised Full Body Massage and Anatomy & Physiology qualification.

 

You will receive comprehensive guidance notes and information to take home with you, as well as continued support from our tutors following your successfully passing of your practical assessment at the end of the workshop.
